Darkhorse Autosport Launches New Web Site To Profile Company and Clients
MONROE, Ga., Monday, April 20, 2003 Darkhorse Autosport is proud to announce the launch of its new web site, www.DarkhorseAutosport.com. The site will act as an introduction to Darkhorse Autosport, formerly Darkhorse Communications, a leader in motorsports media relations since 1997, as well as an information resource for Darkhorse's partners throughout motorsports. As has been Darkhorse's commitment since the start, the site will center on its clients, or as Darkhorse considers them, partners, as much as the company itself. A unique media center' feature on the web site includes up-to-date news on each Darkhorse partner as it becomes available with partner-by-partner archives for past information. Like its trademark CD-Rom media kits, the web site was done in cooperation with Darkhorse Autosport multimedia partner, AVID Design, Inc. of Atlanta.“I guess we are a bit like the roofer that has rain leaking through the ceiling,” joked Thomas Moore, president and CEO of Darkhorse Autosport from his Monroe, Georgia office. “We always preach to our partners to have a fan-friendly and informative web site but, until now, we never enjoyed that ourselves. When we sat down with AVID Design we had some hard criteria to bring to this site; the ability to introduce ourselves to motorsports participants interested in the very best media relations representation and the ability to give a one-stop site for the media to follow the latest from all of Darkhorse Autosport's partners. From that point, the project gained momentum and I am quite excited with the results.” Moore continued: “I have always felt more than a little uncomfortable putting Darkhorse above any of our partners. So, when it came time to build the web site for Darkhorse, we wanted to be sure that it gave attention to our partners. The media center' feature allows us the ability to post every piece of material we generate in an unprecedented method. Therefore, you will see an awful lot of images and text displaying the various drivers and teams that we work with. I can't think of a better way to show what we do, and, maybe more importantly, how we do it. I believe we have accomplished the tasks we set out for ourselves.”Darkhorse Autosport represents clients throughout the motorsports world. Darkhorse manages programs in series including the Indy Racing League, NASCAR, the American Le Mans Series, the Grand American Road Racing Series and the United States Auto Club. The current client list includes Jimmy Kite, Shane Lewis, Petersen Motorsports/White Lightning Racing, MHE2 Motorsports, Terri Popielarz, ThunderValleyRacing.com and others.###
