NayKid Racing To Bare-All In 2004
PUYALLUP, WASH., March 18, 2004 The competitors that were beaten in 2003 may not want to hear it, but NayKid Racing is ready to bare all in the 2004 season. The three KUMHO Tire/ Suburban Chevrolet/ Redline Oil/ Kodiak Racing Wheels/ CORSA Exhaust Chevrolet Corvette Z06s of NayKid Racing return to pursue the T1 National Championship crown beginning with March 20th and 21st Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Double National event at Thunderhill Park in Willows, Calif. The Northwest based race team scored wins in 11 of 13 T1 races entered last season on the way to two divisional championships. The trio of Scotty B. White of Puyallup, Wash. (driving the No.3), Cindi Lux of Aloha, Ore. (driving the No.78) and team newcomer Ryan Snodgrass of Redmond, Washington (driving the No. 75) aims to dominant every event podium among the them. Lux, who has fully recovered from an extensive shoulder surgery last October, is biting at the bit to get the racing season started. The injury has turned out to be a blessing in disguise as the 1999 American Le Mans Series' Women's Global GT Series' champion is in the best physical condition of her driving career. Prior to the injury, Lux won the 2003 SCCA Northern Pacific Division T1 Championship and was honored with the Oregon National Driver of the Year award. White won the 2003 T1 Divisional title in the Southern Pacific SCCA Division, as well as the '03 SCCA Pro Solo and Solo II class Championships. Scotty B. White: “Man, it seems like a long time since I got to bang fenders in my ol' hot rod! During winter testing Cindi is looking fast as hell and the new Suburban Chevrolet Z06 Fred and the gang built for Ryan is a sweet piece! We're all done with the hazing rituals for Ryan and he'll fit in just fine. We are locked, loaded and ready to make a run this year and everything is in place to do it! Slap on the new KUMHO V710 tires and it's about to get ugly for a few other brands.”Cindi Lux: “The bar in amateur racing in the United States has really been raised very, very high in the past couple of years. The level of competition in T1 really forces us, as a team, to step up our game. The Z06 is super reliable and extremely fast production based racecar. We have taken a different approach to our off-season testing program and I think it will pay many dividends this year. KUMHO has delivered a new race tire this year that is absolutely unbelievable!” NayKid Racing won 11 of 13 T1 races entered in 2003, earned 15 podium finishes, 11 pole positions and set six track records. Since its creation in 1998, NayKid has earned six SCCA division T1 titles, as well as five SCCA Pro Solo Championships and seven Solo II titles. The team made history at Mosport in 1999 becoming the first Corvette team to win a SPEED World Challenge GT race. White finished as runner-up in Rookie of the Year honors that same year. Over the course of his two season participation in SPEED World Challenge GT, White finished in the top-10, an amazing 78% of the time! For more on Cindi Lux please see www.CindiLux.com.
