NayKid Racing Announces New Marketing and Technical Partnerships for 2005
PUYALLUP, WASH., June 14, 2005 NayKid Racing owner Scotty B. White (Puyallup, Wash.) and Managing Director Cindi Lux (Aloha, Ore.) announced several additions to their marketing and technical partnerships for the remainder of the 2005 Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) T1 class season. Having previously announced the move to the Dodge Viper SRT10 for competition in the T1 class, the team extended its contract with longtime supporter KUMHO Tires. The transition to the V10-powered American machine secured relationships for competition in the NORPAC and Rocky Mountain Divisions with support from Dodge Motorsports, Mopar Performance Parts and the SRT Division of Dodge. The anticipation of the Dodge-NayKid Racing combination brought interest from several new partners including leading wheel manufacturer Forgeline Wheels, English-based Mintex Brake Pads and Moton Shocks. Past successes and the promise of the new development program brought back RedLine Oil, CORSA Exhaust, Chickenhawk Tire Warmers, Nike Racing and UPR Racing to the Northwest-based team. The new Viper and other technical changes have all been designed by NayKid Racing to make a full impact in late 2005 and throughout 2006. With ongoing development now beginning to show on the track, 2006 promises to be a major season for the team.Lux, the inaugural winner of the ALMS-sanctioned Women's Global GT Series, will continue to pilot the No. 78 KUMHO Tires/ Dodge Motorsports/ SRT/ Mopar Performance Parts/ Nike Racing Dodge Viper SRT10 in pursuit of a third straight NORPAC T1 championship. White, the 2004 Rocky Mountain T1 champion will be behind the wheel of the No. 3 KUMHO Tires/ Dodge Motorsports/ SRT/ Mopar Performance Parts/ Forgeline Wheels Dodge Viper SRT10. Quotes:Cindi Lux: “I don't think you're going to find a racing organization as committed to making this new program work more than ours. KUMHO has been the backbone of our success for the past several years and we wouldn't even attempt this type of large change without them on board. We have so many great associate sponsors that have carried over from the last couple of seasons and they are so jazzed about us making this change to Dodge SRT Vipers. Our three new associate partners are so committed to this project and eager to move into the future with NayKid Racing. I believe we have surrounded ourselves with the best of the best and now it's time for us to do our job go win races.” Scotty B. White: “We tried to work a deal with Mintex last year and it didn't work out. We all kept working on it and the guys in England were super jazzed when they heard we would be running Vipers. Man, do the Mintex stop these cars! We already have some awesome new duds from Nike and Forgeline was a natural for the Vipers; no other choice really. Now we just hope after we get some help from the rules we can get back to true NayKid form rolling out of the paddock with hot KUMHO tires and setting track records and pole positions. The Chickenhawk tire warmers we used all last year sure help that. It sure is nice to have Redline and UPR back. We started with those guys in 1999 and the customer service they have and the quality of the product make it easy to send people to them, no disappointments EVER!” To learn more about NayKid Racing, please visit www.NayKidRacing.com.
