Racing NayKid Reality Show Receives New Network, New Time
Reality Racing Show of Lux and White to Premiere on MOR, June 23LOS ANGELES, Calif., June 15, 2007 Racing NayKid, the reality show about NayKid Racing's effort to compete in the SPEED World Challenge GT Series without a major marketing partner, has been rescheduled to air on the Men's Outdoor and Recreation (MOR) channel, June 23 at 8 PM (ET). Originally planned for Turner Network's iDrive on June 6, network executives decided to postpone the premiere of Racing NayKid and move it to the more widely distributed MOR Network after reviewing the initial product shown to them by Janicek~Marino Creative, the show's producers. The show's premise, which follows SPEED World Challenge rookie Cindi Lux (Aloha, Ore.) and former Series winner Scotty B. White (Lake Tapps, Wash.), was so attractive to the executives that they felt it deserved a broader audience than iDrive could currently provide. 13 episodes of the 30-minute reality show are planned offering a unique, un-glorified look at the efforts of the Northwest-based team to make the transition from a dominant SCCA T1 class Club program to aspiring Pro level operation. Racing NayKid depicts the real life effort required to find success in the SPEED World Challenge while moving forward without a major sponsor. Shooting began in Long Beach and followed to the team's second race at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah on May 19.Lux, who drives the No. 2 Mintex Brakes/Red Line Oil Dodge Viper Comp Coupe, and White, who is the pilot of the No. 3 Corsa Performance/Forgeline Dodge Viper Comp Coupe, offered full-access to the team, its personnel and supporters to the Janicek~Marino crew during shooting. The Janicek~Marino cameras have followed every move that Lux and White have made. From the early-morning, still wiping the sleep out of their eyes meetings, to the wide-eyed spins, viewers of Racing NayKid will see the pressures, the frustrations, the successes and the failures that two of the most diverse personalities in motorsports face each day as Lux and White fight to keep their dream alive. Racing NayKid provides a behind-the-scenes look that will appeal to the most die-hard enthusiast searching for an edge on the track to the average person looking for a dynamic, personality-driven half-hour of television. Over time, Janicek~Marino plans for Racing NayKid include a fully interactive audience experience. Once realized, partners of the team will be able to market their products directly to the viewer through the show. In turn, the viewer can purchase the same products that NayKid Racing utilizes on its Dodge Viper Comp Coupes without ever leaving the living room through the interactive portion of the program.MOR is home to a comprehensive line-up of hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation shows. The network is available to over 32 million households across the United States through several cable, satellite and broadband suppliers. MOR enjoys a key marketing demographic of 18 to 54 year-old males.A copy of the Racing NayKid trailer can be seen at see www.NayKidRacing.com or at www.CindiLux.com.
