NayKid Racing Teams with Dodge Canada for Two SPEED World Challenge Events

Dodge Viper Pit Pass Challenge Winners to Crew for Lux and White at TorontoTORONTO, June 29, 2007 NayKid Racing has been chosen to represent the Dodge brand in the two upcoming Canadian rounds of the SPEED World Challenge. NayKid Racing and Dodge will first compete together in the July 8th Grand Prix of Canada at Toronto's Exhibition Place. The second race will be at the ever-fast Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada on August 26. The Toronto event marks the third race in the SPEED World Challenge for the No. 2 Dodge/Mintex Brakes/Red Line Oil Dodge Viper Competition Coupe of Cindi Lux (Aloha, Ore.) and Scotty B. White's (Lake Tapps, Wash.) No. 3 Corsa Performance/Forgeline Dodge Viper Comp Coupe. The duo debuted at the Grand Prix of Long Beach in April and followed that with the Grand Prix of Utah in May. In Utah, Lux earned the award for highest finishing rookie while White walked away with the Sunoco Hard Charger Award for most positions gained in the race. Combined with Dodge in Canada, the results are anticipated to be even stronger as the team gains valuable experience in the SPEED World Challenge. This is the first time that the team has worked directly with the Canadian arm of Dodge. However, the strong relationship between Dodge and NayKid Racing dates back to the introduction of the Dodge Viper SRT10 into Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) T1 Club Racing in 2005. After winning three SCCA Divisional titles in the Viper SRT10- Lux took titles in 05 and '06 while White grabbed a title in 2005 and finished second in 06- NayKid Racing moved into the SPEED World Challenge with a pair of purpose-built Dodge Viper Competition Coupes in 2007. Dodge chose NayKid Racing, with its extensive marketing experience, to spotlight, through motorsports, the introduction of the 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 road car to Canada. The two Canadian rounds and the promotional aspects of the program will provide a direct link between the Dodge Viper and SRT technology in the Competition Coupe and the Dodge Viper SRT10 road car which is set to launch in Canada next month. The partnership between the team based in American's Northwest and the Canadian arm of Dodge goes beyond a simple signage agreement. A major promotion designed by Dodge will make contest winners part of the NayKid Racing pit crew at both events. The Dodge Viper Pit Pass Challenge has run in Canada through much of the spring and early summer. Two winners will be selected to be on pit lane at Toronto working the V10-powered muscle machines of Lux and White while two more will join the team at Mosport. Beyond their pit lane credentials, winners for each event will enjoy free round-trip transportation to the race, accommodations, a membership in the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), official NayKid Racing team-only apparel, time with both drivers and $1,000 Canadian spending money. The Dodge Viper Pit Pass Challenge (www.viperpitcrew.ca) has closed for Toronto but the two winning entries are yet to be drawn for Mosport. The Grand Prix of Toronto can be seen on SPEED Channel, Saturday, July 14 at Noon (ET). Quotes:Judy Wheeler, Vice President Marketing, DaimlerChrysler Canada: “We are excited about this opportunity to support Cindi and Scotty as they bring their passion for racing to Toronto and Mosport. Dodge is continuing its position as a motorsports leader in Canada by supporting a number of drivers and races in a variety of racing series, and providing racers with top-notch vehicles like Viper, Charger and Avenger. The excitement and passion of motorsports is shared by Dodge and our customers who have their own street versions of these great cars in their driveway.” Cindi Lux: “I am especially excited to be going up north of the border to race in Canada. The Canadian fans are really passionate and fired-up about their racing. Being the first time this series will be racing on the streets at Toronto, expect some wild things to happen! The Viper fans will definitely be treated to some door banging, paint-swapping and hardcore racing in the World Challenge Series. And having a couple of winners from the Dodge Viper Pit Pass Challenge joining is pretty cool. Knowing our crazy team, I am sure they will be going home after the race with plenty of stories to share for a long time with all the Viper Nation members.” Scotty B. White: “This is definitely the highlight of our season in my book. We have always felt welcomed by the Canadian race fans and officials so when this deal came together with Dodge it just seemed like a natural for our team. My first win in World Challenge came in Vancouver so all the Northern territory holds a special place in my heart. I love Canadian road race fans! Now to be back racing up North in front of those car-crazy Canadians is such a treat. This new NayKid crew member better watch out, we might just recruit them for the rest of the season!”For more on NayKid Racing please see www.NayKidRacing.com
