Porsche Penske Motorsport scores one-two victory at Road America

Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Porsche Penske Motorsport scored a one-two overall finish today at the IMSA SportsCar Weekend at Road America. It is the fourth victory of the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for the Porsche factory program and is the second one-two sweep of the year. The No. 6 Porsche hybrid prototype shared by Mathieu Jaminet (France) and Nick Tandy (United Kingdom) led their teammates Dane Cameron (Huntersville, North Carolina) and Felipe Nasr (Brazil) in the No. 7 factory Porsche 963 across the finish line at the Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin-area track.

Today’s victory in the two-hour, 40-minute race – the final “sprint round of the GTP class season – was the second win for the No. 6 team following its first victory of 2024 at Detroit in June. The No. 7 has overall GTP class wins in the 24 Hours At Daytona and the Six Hours of The Glen and currently leads the team and driver point standings. Porsche leads the way in the GTP manufacturer rankings with two races – both endurance rounds – remaining for the GTP class.

AO Racing finished in fourth place in the GTD Pro class as Laurin Heinrich (Germany) and Julien Andlauer (France) raced the pink No. 77 “Roxy” to the highest overall finish for a Porsche 911 GT3 R.
